I’m really torn on this review. Overall, this swimsuit is amazing, especially for younger teens who are too “kid” for women’s suit cuts, but too “woman” for the padless kid suits. The material is cute and seems thick and durable. The pads are thin enough to be comfortable while still providing coverage. The straps are great and don’t dig. No wedgies. So why not 5 stars? Because the embroidered edging is one of its main style sells and it absolutely did not hold up. We were in a swimsuit crisis, had this suit delivered to our vacation rental. My daughter took this upstairs, tried it on and came downstairs to ask me for help because the embroidered neckline was rapidly unraveling. It was not tied off, back stitched or anything at all to keep the stitching secure. It was literally unraveling with every breath she took. Since we had zero options, I grabbed the loose end and knotted it in about a half dozen times, but now there’s more than an inch of unraveled neckline on a suit that hadn’t even had the tags removed yet. My daughter liked this suit so much, we’re going to try again, but this time I will make sure the embroidery is secured as soon as it comes out of the bag. Sizing was good, my daughter normally wears kids 14-16 or women’s XS-S, we ordered the 14-15 and it fit perfectly.**Edit** upped this from 3 stars to 4. The replacement they sent arrived quickly and seems to have none of the edging issues the previous suit did. We’re hoping it was a fluke. The straps on these have metal hardware which is great, too, because we’ve had to file down broken plastic hardware before and it’s the pits. Edging on the original suit aside, this seems like a sturdy, perfect swimsuit that runs true to size.
