1960s Leather Kangaroo by Dimitri Omersa for Abercrombie & Fitch

$ 95.84

Look at this beautiful leather kangaroo designed by Dimitri Omersa, made in England in the 1960s and produced for Liberty of London and Abercrombie & Fitch. It is hand made using full-grain leather over a metal frame, then stuffed with hay for the shape. The leather animals were mainly made as high-quality design objects and decorative furniture pieces with a practical use (like a magazine holder or footstool), and sold as stylish home accessories for adults. As you can see the kangaroo was designed with a pouch that functions as a magazine holder. Some minor restaurations were made and they were carefully carried out by a professional leatherworker. So it is still in véry good condition, with only some wear and tear corresponding with age and use. H x W x D = 90 x 60 x 70 cm / 35.4 x 23.6 x 27.6 inch
