These bags make me feel better about how we handle our garbage. The bag composts in the trash dump, leaving no damage to the environment.I don’t agree that the bags rips easily, as another reviewer said. The bags only rip if you store them in a place where light hits them, and they will begin to degrade and then rip easily, as they were designed to do. So I have them stored under the sink where it’s dark and dry. They are very strong and hold a load of garbage so heavy that it’s difficult for me to carry it to the trash can, but the bags still don’t break. These bags just barely fit in our generous size tall kitchen trash can. When you start throwing the first items in there and they hit the bottom, the sides of the bag can collapse into the can. I was buying the 33 gal bags to eliminate this aggravation, but higher prices made me go back to this 23 gal size and the aggravation of pulling the sides of the bag back up to the top of the can from time to time.
