Origins Round Paua Pendant A beautifully delicate sterling silver rounded pendant, with a gorgeous inlayed Paua shell design and a highly polished finish. Paua, pronounced power, is the Mauri name used for what the Americans and Australians call abalone and the British call ormer. It a sea mollusc which is a common seafood, with the shell being used for decorative homewares and jewellery. The shells have lovely colour iridescence of greens, blues and purples which make it very desirable. This pendant, apart from the shell inlay, is constructed from sterling silver including the bale.
