Origins Double Pebble Pendant A beautiful larger look double hanging pebble pendant in sterling silver set with an inlay of Paua, and finished with a high polish shine. This pendant is made from sterling silver and has been set with a pebble shaped piece of Paua on the top piece with a hidden bale to the rear. With the bottom part being plain this creates a two-tone effect which could be worn with any of the other pieces from both the Pebble ranges, with or without the shell inlays. Paua, pronounced power, is the Mauri name used for what the Americans and Australians call abalone and the British call ormer. It a sea mollusc which is a common seafood, with the shell being used for decorative homewares and jewellery. The shells have lovely colour iridescence of greens, blues and purples which make it very desirable.
